Valérie lives and works in Québec City. After completing a bachelor's degree in graphic design at Université Laval, she decided to devote her practice to illustration and digital printmaking. Her work has been published in numerous magazines and has been presented in various solo and collective exhibitions (Canada, Bulgary, Switzerland). She has illustrated several children's nooks (8 in total!) The first (Le marchand de bêtises) won her the Illustration Jeunesse Award in the “Relève” category, awarded by the Trois-Rivières Book Fair. The second (Un après-midi chez Jules), which she has written and illustrated, has for its part been awarded the Cécile-Gagnon Prize, highlighting the first writing of a youth author. She loves to drink tea and work in her garden. She also makes carrots grow on her roof that Marcel, her little rabbit, eats with appetite!
