Christian Jung
Christian Jung is a pianist, singer, songwriter and bandleader. He studied classical piano at the Meistersinger Conservatory in Nuremberg and jazz piano at the Hermann-Zilcher Conservatory in Würzburg. He is a prize winner of Südwestfunk with the band ‘Voicing’ and a prize winner of the jury at the 17th Polish-French-German Chanson Festival of Deutschlandfunk in Cologne as accompanist to the Dutch chanson singer Loes Snijders. Jung toured Europe, Africa and North America with various artists such as Jeanne Carroll, Sydney Ellis and Karen Carroll and his bands Alligators of Swing and Chris B. Together with his bands Alligators of Swing and Chris B., he has released 6 CDs and DVDs. As a sideman, he can be heard on other CDs with Loes Snijders (NED) and Jeanne Carrol (USA). In 2023, he was Artist-in-Residence at the VCCA in Virginia.
