Johanna Furch has been writing since her older brother taught her how letters work. Due to her passion for stories, she studied "Literary Writing and Cultural Journalism M. A. S." at the Faber-Castell Academy part-time, specializing in prose and playwriting. Since then, she has worked as a freelance writer and journalist for several regional newspapers and as a freelance editor (ADM).
She has published several short stories together with other authors in anthologies such as "Gummibärchen und Erde“ in Wundersame Winterzeit (Rosenheimer Verlagshaus) or "Der Schlüssel liegt in der Zeitungsrolle" in Abschluss 1 (Pop Verlag) as well as song lyrics such as "Du bist Romeo" in Abschluss 1 (Pop Verlag) or "Du bringst Glitzer in mein Leben" in "wie gesalzenes karamelleis" (KDP).
Her other great passion is music, which also plays an important role in her debut novel “wie gesalzenes karamelleis", published under the pseudonym Josie Groove. As a singer in several bands, she has been performing for many years and writes songs in English, German, and Bavarian dialect.
