The starting point for Laura Killer's artistic practice is a movement that is often induced by language. In her objects, wall works, videos, performances and writings, she explores the themes of fire, transformation, repetition and language in a variety of ways. The resulting works are multi-layered, referencing one another, emerging from one another and merging into one another. At their core, her works are transformative and open – and mostly tell of their own process.

“I believe in the rhythm of repetition, without which we cannot truly understand anything. In my work, I explore inwardly. There is always more than we can perceive or comprehend; every perspective is unique, and everything holds significance.”

Laura Killer was born in Krumbach in 1992. Since 2020, she has been studying fine arts at the AdBK Munich with Prof. Gregor Hildebrandt and has been his Meisterschülerin since 2023. Prior to this, Laura completed her Bachelor of Arts in General and Comparative Literature at LMU Munich.
