Elissar Kanso is a visual artist, painter, and exhibition curator. Holder of a Master ‘s degree in Visual Arts research from Bordeaux Montaigne University, and a PHD in Visual Arts holder from the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour, she is currently an associate professor at Paul Valéry University and an associate member of the research laboratory RIRRA21, Montpellier.
She is interested in the idea of distance on which is based and built her creative approach focused on movement, the opening of a possibility of meaning, the change in the place of the body and the artwork and the redefinition of the place of the viewer. Her work is a finalist in various Artcalls notably, Breakfast in Beirut, Italy,Grand Prix Bernard Magrez, and Biennale Organo, Bordeaux.
