Min-gi Kim has been studying painting at Dong-A University in Busan, South Korea, since 2018. In his work, Min-gi employs the technique of traditional Korean ink painting. Through seemingly random, massed accumulations of strokes and dots, meaningless objects are rearranged over months of meticulous handwork. For example, a pile of trash can be transformed into a sensitive, poetic, and open-to-interpretation drawing.
Min-gi Kim was nominated by Dong-A University in Busan for the Kebbel Villa exchange program.
