Valérie Forgues is a writer and literary director of Le lézard amoureux, poetry publishing house. Holder of a master's degree in literary studies from Université Laval (Québec), she is a poetry critic and works at the library of the Maison de la littérature. Her writing process has allowed her to take part in several festivals and residencies in Quebec, Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. She is the author of Jeanne forever (with Stéphanie Filion, 2018), Janvier tous les jours (2017), Une robe pour la chasse (2015), Adèle encore une fois (2010) and Ce qui se pose (2009, mention Prix Alphonse-Piché.) She lives in Québec City and her most recent book of poems, Radiale (finalist Prix de poésie Jean-Noël Pontbriand and finalist Prix international francophone) was published in the fall of 2021, at Le Lézard amoureux.
