A guitarist awarded in 25 international guitar competitions is traveling to Paraguay, where he will perform before over 2,000 people after receiving the "Premio República," one of the most prestigious awards in Latin America. Luciano Pompilio not only interprets compositions by the Paraguayan composer Agustín Pío Barrios Mangoré, but also blends works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Alexander Tansman, and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco into his Schwandorf program. After studying in Foggia, Italy, he was the first prize winner of a renowned duo guitar competition, the "Montelimar Competition" in France. He has recorded nine CDs, reached chart positions on iTunes and toured across Europe, Asia and America. For the first time part of the Golden October, we look forward to welcoming an outstanding soloist who will present an exquisite program.
