Painting in the Park with Andreas Karlstetter
03-08 August and 10-14 August 2026
daily from 14:00 - 18:00

A summer full of colours and ideas

Venue: Sculpture park of the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus / Sperlstadl

Once again this year, the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus invites artists of all ages to get creative in the idyllic park of the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus during the first two weeks of August. Children aged five and above, teenagers, adults and families are welcome to paint together and try out new things. No prior registration is required.

Canvases in various sizes and water-soluble oil paints are available on site for a small fee. What else do you need to participate? Just bring your good mood and clothes that can get a few splashes of paint on them, and you're ready to start painting.

If the weather is inclement, the event will be moved to the Sperlstadl so that all participants can continue working dry and undisturbed.

The project is led by artist and educator Andreas Karlstetter, who has been closely associated with the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus for many years. He has lived and worked in Eichstätt since 2003, where he teaches art at the Gabrieli-Gymnasium. His artistic focus is on drawing, in particular scientifically accurate depictions of dinosaurs inspired by fossils from the Altmühl Valley and studies in zoos. He studied painting, drawing and printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg.

The park is also open to all art enthusiasts on the Assumption Day public holiday.

Come by, grab a brush and some paint, and experience a creative summer day in a special atmosphere – we look forward to seeing you!
