The artistic works of Karina Kueffner emerge in the field between textile design and fine art.
"The principle of repetition, the creation of patterns out of singular shapes, as well as a work process which  emphasizes the material are experiences of my education as a textile designer. I transfer these experiences into artistic works and installations in indoor and outdoor spaces. Between design and artistic expression my preference  of rich minimalism always forms the basis: I create my works under limited resources and with as few interventions as possible to convey a message of simplicity and minimization."

Karina Kueffner studied textile design at the University of Applied Sciences Hof / Campus Münchberg and at the University of Arts Linz. She completed a second study of fine arts and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg as master student. After graduation she received grants for artistic projects and work residencies in Germany and abroad. Among others, 2022 Neustart Kultur scholarship of Stiftung Kunstfonds, 2018 ParisScholarship of the Bavarian State Ministry at the Cité Internationale des Arts, 2016 Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus Scholarship for Schloss Plüschow and 2023 for NOUAISON, Pujols / Libourne.

Karina Kueffner works as freelance artist in Nuremberg.
