Ludwig Hanisch

"Central to my artistic work is the transfer of virtual, unattainable visual worlds into a unique haptic medium. I am interested in interweaving digital and analog image spaces. In the process, I draw on the visual language of interactive games and analog sports games that complete my concept of gamification within painting."

Ludwig Hanisch, born in 1984 in Halle an der Saale, studied painting from 2006 to 2012 at the AdBK Nuremberg with Prof Thomas Hartmann, who awarded him the title of Meisterschüler in 2011. Hanisch is the recipient of the Kulturpreis of the City of Nuremberg of 2022. He lives and works as a freelance artist in Nuremberg and Schwabach.
