The Aighetta Quartet’s (François Szönyi, Alexandre Del Fa, Philippe Loli, and Olivier Fautrat) international career began in 1980 with their performance of Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto Andaluz, accompanied by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo. This was followed by concert tours through France, England, Italy, Hungary, and Germany, as well as numerous radio and television appearances. The quartet has released several CDs, including the tribute to Bill Evans (Time Remembered) with jazz guitarist John McLaughlin. Supported by artists such as Henryk Szeryng, György Cziffra, and Riccardo Chailly, the ensemble has performed in renowned venues such as La Fenice in Venice, the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, and the Salle Garnier in Monte Carlo. During the Golden October, the ensemble will present works by Rossini, Bizet, de Falla, and the Spanish guitar school.
